Design Story

The composition is strictly centred. An ornate scrolled frame in tarnished pewter tones circles the outer edge, anchored by carved flourishes at top and bottom, with deep wine-red cracks bleeding between the metalwork. Inside it, mirrored fragments fan toward the middle in graduated sizes, each one holding a faint grey scene: a pale face in three-quarter view, a single weeping eye, a distant standing figure, a handprint pressed against glass, dim corridors and chandeliers. The palette stays restrained — cold silver, smoke grey, burgundy — which is exactly why the black centre feels bottomless. Nothing moves, and that stillness is the point.
