Design Story

Inside the crest, arched lettering reads GOLDEN STATE above a heavy serif WARRIORS, with 19 and 46 flanking a laurel-wreathed bridge tower emblem. Below, BASKETBALL CLUB and ESTABLISHED 1946 close the composition like a footer line. Gold pinstripes run vertically down both sides, framing the panel and giving the surface a symmetrical, almost architectural order. Above the medallion, faint gold linework sketches bridge cables and cranes across the blue — a background layer you only notice on the second look. Nothing here shouts. It's collegiate restraint: high contrast, tight hierarchy, warm cream against saturated blue.
