Design Story

The surface reads as ornamental metalwork: dark filigree scrollwork wrapping the vertical form, with an arched banner reading HOUSTON DYNAMO across the upper register. At the centre sits a hexagonal focal panel, outlined in warm orange and rimmed with faceted stones that alternate clear and amber. The interlocking monogram inside is the visual anchor; everything below it descends in careful hierarchy — HOUSTON DYNAMO FC, a small lightning mark, then a framed 2005, then an engraved skyline silhouette. The lower band closes the reading with FOREVER ORANGE, FOREVER HOUSTON. Orange against near-black creates the only real contrast, and the ornament stays quiet enough to let it work.

Use & Experience

On a tumbler, the vertical proportion suits this stacked arrangement. The crest occupies the front-facing focal area at eye level, while the scrollwork continues around the wraparound composition so no angle reads as empty. The orange handle, where visible, echoes the palette and completes the object as a single graphic statement rather than a printed panel.
