Design Story

The wraparound composition is built on two stacked focal points. Upper panel: a circular black medallion holding the Miami Heat flaming basketball emblem, framed by a crowned halo of clear and ruby-toned stones. Below it, a crowned skull sits centred and perfectly still, red gem eyes catching light against gilded scrollwork and carved flame shapes. Filigree fills the remaining surface in a dense, symmetrical rhythm, while the dark ground acts as negative space so the gold never turns into noise. Diamond-shaped accents mark the vertical axis top to bottom, pulling the eye down the full height of the vessel.
